Smart Lists Guide

Uninstalling and Reinstalling

You can remove Smart Lists from an Android phone and install it again later. Uninstalling and deleting your Smart Lists data are not the same action.

Uninstalling Smart Lists on Android

  1. Open Android “Settings” or the Google Play listing for Smart Lists.
  2. Choose Uninstall.
  3. Confirm the removal.

What happens when Smart Lists is removed

The Smart Lists app is removed from that phone.

You can no longer open the app on the device until it is installed again.

Difference between uninstalling and deleting your data

Uninstalling removes the app from the device.

Account or data deletion is the separate process for removing your Smart Lists data.

Do not use one action when you mean the other.

Reinstalling Smart Lists

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Find Smart Lists.
  3. Install the app again.
  4. Open it after installation.

What happens when you reinstall

Smart Lists opens again on the device and follows the available setup or return flow.

Use the same Smart Lists identity or recovery path provided by the app if you want to return to your existing data.

Returning to your existing lists after reinstalling

After Smart Lists restores or reconnects your profile, your available lists can return to Home.

If a shared list was deleted or you are no longer a member, that list will not become available simply because the app was reinstalled.
