Account and Data
This guide explains your Smart Lists identity, app data and the difference between normal app use and permanently removing your data.
How your Smart Lists profile works
Smart Lists uses your display name to identify you inside the app and shared lists.
Your profile is separate from the content of any one list.
Linking your account
Linking an account is important because it gives you a way to sign back in and recover your existing lists if Smart Lists is uninstalled, you log out by mistake, or you move to another device.
- Open the Smart Lists side drawer.
- Open the account or profile area.
- Follow the option to link your account.
- Complete the sign-in or linking process and keep access to that linked account.
Understanding Smart Lists app data
Your lists, memberships and settings form part of the Smart Lists data associated with your use of the app.
Refer to the Privacy Policy for the legal description of how data is handled.
Removing your data
- Use the account or data removal process provided by Smart Lists.
- Read the confirmation carefully because removing data can affect lists and memberships.
Account deletion
Open the Smart Lists Account Deletion page from the website or the available app link.
Follow the provided steps to request or complete deletion.
Review what will happen before confirming.
What happens to lists you created
If deleting your data can affect lists you created, Smart Lists will explain that in the deletion flow or Account Deletion page.
Do not delete your account until you understand what will happen to lists other people still use.
