Smart Lists Guide
Creating a List
You can create a list manually whenever you need one. Smart Lists lets you decide whether the list should stay simple or include budgeting and shared features.
Starting a new list
- From Home, use the action for creating a new list.
- Smart Lists opens the list creation flow where you choose what kind of list you want to make.
Choosing Checklist or Budget
- Choose “Checklist” when you only need a simple list of items that can be added, reordered and completed.
- Choose “Budget” when you want the list to track spending as well as items.
- The choice affects which options Smart Lists shows during setup.
Naming a list
Enter a name that clearly tells you what the list is for.
The name appears on the list tile on Home and at the top of the screen when the list is open.
Examples could be Groceries, Monthly expenses, Dubai Trip or Payments due.
You can rename the list later from the list options.
Choosing list options
- After choosing the list type, review the options Smart Lists offers for that list.
- “Budget” Lists can have additional settings that are not needed for a normal “Checklist”.
- Only enable the features you actually need. A list can remain simple and be changed later.
Creating a basic checklist
- Choose “Checklist”.
- Enter the list name.
- Finish creating the list.
- Open it and begin adding items.
Creating a Budget List
- Choose “Budget”.
- Enter the list name and review the budget related options.
- Create the list.
- Open it and set the monthly budget when you are ready to start tracking spending.
What happens after a list is created
The new list appears on Home as its own tile.
The tile shows the list name, type and other enabled labels.
Open the list to add items or change its settings.
