Home Screen
Home is the main Smart Lists screen. It shows your Personal Balance area and the list tiles for the lists you use.
Home screen overview
At the top of Home, Smart Lists can show your “Personal Balance”.
Below that are the tiles for your lists.
Each list tile gives you a quick summary without needing to open the list.
Personal Balance card
The “Personal Balance” card appears at the top of Home when “Personal Balance” is available in your setup.
The amount shown is your own balance, not a shared list balance.
Tap the card to open “Personal Balance” and review or change it.
Other members of shared lists do not see your “Personal Balance”.
Understanding list tiles
Each list is represented by a tile on Home.
The tile shows the list name and information about the list type and enabled features.
Tap a tile to open that list.
Understanding list types and labels
A checklist tile shows that the list is a “Checklist”.
A “Budget” List tile shows that it is a “Budget” list and can also show its currency preference.
Extra labels can appear when more advanced features are enabled. For example, a list can show “Basic”, “Payer tracking” or “Balance sync”.
These labels let you understand how the list is configured before opening it.
Understanding member counts
On a list tile, the member icon has a number next to it.
That number shows how many members are currently in that specific list.
To see which members are in the list, open the list, tap the three dots in the top right corner, then select “Members”.
The “Members” screen shows the people who currently belong to that list.
Member counts belong to each individual list. Different lists can have different numbers of members.
Pinned lists
A pin icon appears on each list tile on Home. When the pin icon is selected, that list is pinned.
Pinned lists are kept prominent on Home so they are easier to reach.
- To pin a list, tap the pin icon directly on its list tile.
- To unpin it, tap the selected pin icon again.
Opening a list
- Tap anywhere on the list tile to open that list.
- Smart Lists then shows the list items and any list specific information, such as budget information or shared spending details.
Creating a new list from Home
- On Home, tap the “+” icon in the top right corner.
- Choose the type of list you need.
- Enter the list name and configure the available options.
- Create the list. The new list then appears on Home as its own tile.
Joining a list from Home
- Copy the invitation code you received.
- Open the Smart Lists side drawer.
- Select “Join list”.
- Paste or enter the invitation code.
- Complete the join. The shared list then appears on Home.
Empty Home screen
If you have not created or joined any lists yet, Home can appear mostly empty.
Use Quick Start or the create list action to add your first list.
As you create or join lists, their tiles appear on Home.
